Will Nelson is Managing Director, responsible for the day-to-day sales and operations for HilltopSecurities Insurance. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Career Highlights

  • Previously served as Head of Momentum Independent Network, overseeing HilltopSecurities’ independent financial advisor channel, including organic growth initiatives, advisor recruiting, and middle-office operations
  • Prior to the merger of Southwest Securities and FirstSouthwest, Mr. Nelson served in a variety of supervisory roles with Southwest Securities, including President of Southwest Insurance Agency, Associate Director of Insurance and Insurance Sales Coordinator
  • Before joining Southwest Securities, Mr. Nelson worked with 1st Global as a Business Development Specialist and Nationwide Financial as a Financial Associate

  • Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, Texas A&M University-Commerce
  • Holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 66 Licenses
  • Texas General Lines Life Insurance License
